Vertex Arena is looking for an out-going person that can handle a high volume of incoming phone calls, event requests, point of contact sales, accurately book events and provide a quality experience for customers. The ideal candidate has telephone and online-booking experience, is highly motivated, customer savvy, and displays exceptional customer service skills.
Duties and Responsibilities
Promptly answer incoming calls and accurately respond to customer inquiries.
Provide prompt and courteous service to customers while handling a range of other requests.
Follow-up with incoming requests for parties and events.
Clearly communicate event packages and capture potential up-sell opportunities.
Consistently enter call details and client data into CenterEdge POS system.
Clearly communicate customer special requests for events.
Cross train in other areas to effectively communicate programs and activities to customers.
Attend staff training and meetings as required by the management team.
Provide facility tours as requested when other staff are unavailable.
Cash handling and reporting.
Perform open and/or close duties for reservation desk, lobby and restroom areas.
Ensure smooth and efficient traffic flow in and through lobby area, and into facility.
Report safety concerns to Assistant Operations Manager or Manager On Duty.
Maintain cleanliness of greeting lobby, reservation area and restrooms
Other duties as assigned by Operations Manager and other leadership
Previous cash handling experience required.
Proficient reading, writing and math skills.
Exceptional customer service skills and ability to relate to customers.
Must be able to handle heavy inbound customer traffic and calls and capture potential leads.
Work flexible hours including evenings, weekends and holidays.
Quickly grasp and communicate new policies, event types and procedures.
Exercise good judgment in personal actions and decisions.
Must be able to prioritize tasks and have excellent organizational skills.
Clearly explain expectations for events and bookings to customers.
Previous phone sales or reception experience is desired.
Computer savvy and able to quickly and accurately process and close a sale
Ability to operate a 2-way radio.
Skills testing required including cash handling and word processing.
Position Availability: IMMEDIATELY
Up to 30 hours per week including weekend, evenings and holiday coverage.
Reports to: Assistant Operations Manager
